Why do I do what I do?

I find myself asking this question every now and then.  I think that’s normal.  On a very raw/selfish level I think its because I want to matter.  I want to be something to someone.  It provides me with self worth.  I used to feel bad about this, but it is a very human truth;  If you don’t matter to at least one person what was the point of you taking up space in the first place?

I don’t think everyone is here for a reason.  I think that is a concept that puts a nice big red bow on all the child deaths, faceless natural disasters, and needless terribleness that lurk beneath the surface of our society.  But I think that everyone needs to FEEL like they matter.

I FEEL that what I do is important regardless that I will never know what impact I actually have.  I entertain some and put a much needed smile on their face.  I inform some in a fun and honest format.  I challenge others to stand up for what they believe in and have a voice.  And sometimes I just show them boobies ;)  My main goal is to provide people with my opinion so they can question their own and give them news (some that matters and some that doesn’t) in a fun and engaging way.

That’s where SourceFed came to mind.  I am only one guy and can’t provide a fun and honest approach to EVERY SINGLE THING that happens.  I found people from varying backgrounds whose only similarity was their ability to tell a story in a fun way.  No agenda, just information and entertainment.  I won’t always agree with them in the same way that many of you don’t always agree with me, but thats kind of the point.  If this experiment with SourceFed works my plan is to add on to channels for games/movies, and politics.

Well enough of me vomiting words with 0 knowledge of proper grammar.  Back to work.
