DeFranco Does Dublin Special

Its odd to think its been 1 week since I performed my first ever 90 minute special in front of a live audience of 1500 people. It was an exhilarating experience. Something that will stick with me for the rest of my life. I am still the same Philip DeFranco who got a C in public speaking 7 years ago, but the moment I stepped out and saw all those people cheering I stopped being scared about it.

But enough of how this was a big deal to me blah blah blah. A lot of you have been messaging me about when the footage will be coming out. The short answer is ideally sometime in the next month and it will not be on YouTube.

The original idea was we would turn it into a DVD to include all sorts of extras and use the sales to fund the next FREE “DeFranco Does” event. But that meant I was going to have to exclude the people who couldn’t afford it. Something I would hate to do sooooooo we have decided to use the distribution method made popular by NIN.

When we release the 90 minute special it will be available for download and you pay what you want to pay for it.

You love it, you want to support the show, and most importantly you can afford to pay 20 bucks or A MILLION DOLLARS!!!! do it. …seriously. :)

I’ve opted to use this method because as I say in the middle of the special, “Its about creating cool shit and then making money second”. That in mind, it still costs money to put on events free to thousands of people so it would be good to generate some cash through sales for those future events.
